Not sure about the Good Samaritan connection in particular, but it appears that Rashi, commenting on 2 Kings 25.4, wrote as follows:Secret Alias wrote: ↑Fri Jan 19, 2018 5:35 pm Where on earth does it preserve the claim that Zedekiah was captured at the same place as the Good Samaritan narrative?
By way of the gate between the two walls: A cave went from his house until the plains of Jericho, and he fled through the cave. The Holy One, Blessed be He, ordained a deer walking on the roof of the cave. The Chaldeans pursued the deer, and when they reached the entrance of the cave in the plains of Jericho, they saw him and captured him. This is what Ezekiel said [12.13], "And I will spread My net over him, and he shall be caught in My net." [Link: http://www.chabad.org/library/bible_cdo ... rashi=true.
So that is probably the cave near Jericho being talked about.
