Further Reading on Justin Martyr

Post by Jax »

I have basic knowledge of Justin Martyr picked up here and there but would like to have a good through understanding of this subject. A good solid book on him by a respected scholar would be nice.

Any suggestions?

You might find this useful. It goes into the corrupt state of the MS

I agree with Stephan's recommendation and would add the following:
  1. Arthur J. Bellinzoni, The Sayings of Jesus in the Writings of Justin Martyr (1967).
  2. Oskar Skarsaune, Proof from Prophecy (1987).
Lots of data to work with, regardless of what you may think of their conclusions.
