Please, accept my apologies for the rudeness of my previous post .
Certainly and thanks.

I know many Christians and am used to their attitude and also am good at ignoring it.

"Whoever imagines himself a favorite with God,
holds other people in contempt.
Whenever a man believes that he has the exact truth from God,
there is in that man no spirit of compromise.
He has not the modesty born of the imperfections of human nature;
he has the arrogance of theological certainty and the tyranny born of ignorant assurance.
Believing himself to be the slave of God,
he imitates his master,
and of all tyrants,
the worst is a slave in power."

Thanks,
I don't like mixing religions in a discussion because whichever the purpose of the OP may have been that purpose was soon changed .

In the 'other' forum someone may have posted something about Islam and invariably the discussion soon became yet another attack on Christianity.

The faith, philosophy [and doctrine] forum is a good place for a discussion about Christianity

Thanks. I will check it out.

Christianity has created it's own immoral religion and those who recognize their immorality will speak out if they are moral men.

For that evil to grow, all good people need do is nothing.

That we can find a much better God than the bible God.

Is equality a fundamental right?

Do The Abrahamic cults give it to their women and gays?

No, they do not, --- and are thus, --- immoral.

Gnostic Christians like myself do grant equality to all, --- and say so, --- as we believe that to be the right moral stance.

In Genesis all humans are created equal .God created humanity in his image.
Every human is made in the image of god and equal. There are no shudras in Genesis. In Genesis every human is equal: there is no karma to make some inferior to others because of 'sins' in another life.

Inequalities in mankind are the consequence of living and the way it affects political activities of which organized religion is one.

Gays in the Christian world have equal rights .
Women in the Christian world have equal rights .
Equality is a fundamental right in the Christian world.

The fact that organized religion took a little while to adapt their thinking does not mean that humans were not made equal in Genesis.

Is that all what the chatty moral men have to say?

Look again for the first time. To the religious right, women sit at the back of the bus and the gays walk.

As others have no doubt noted, there is rarely 'a' Jewish view.

I did a little reading on this.

There was an older view that Gnosticism started in Judaism prior to Christianity.

This is puzzling because, assuming a guy with Gnostic in his name knows about gnosticism, why even ask the question?

It turns out that the more current view is that one of the implications of the Nag_Hammadi_library is that gnosticism arose from Christianity.

Some elements of gnosticism then came into Judaism.

Assuming my outline is correct, the premise of the OP seems to be busted. The backwards view of Genesis 2-3 seems to be originally Christian. I'm quite comfortable giving Christianity credit for this.
