The affinity between Sparta and Jews is not new and mentioned in the Book of Maccabees.

1 Maccabees 12:20
Arius, king of the Spartans, to Onias the high priest, greeting, It has been found in writing concerning the Spartans and the Jews that they are brethren

They were several Spartans serving as priests in Israel
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jason_(high_priest)
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alcimus
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Menelaus_(High_Priest)

Alcimus, a character in the Lliad is rendered אליקום ( Eliakim)
and the name occurs in 2 Kings 18:18 and Isaiah 22:20

Menelaus - King of Sparta, wife of Helen of Troy.

Another Spartan name, Memnon meaning Stedfast
is thus אמנ ( Psa 78:37), so the name is identical too Amnon .
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Memnon_(mythology)

Memnon(ממנון) can be lengthened into Agamemnon ( אחיממנון )
* ἀγά/אחי = Wondrous
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agamemnon

Spartan Prefixes are identical to prefixes in the Bible.

Memnon was the King of Ethiopia ( South of Byblos) in Phoenicia, thus there was a Spartan Colony in Phoenicia in Pre-Homeric times
and this explains the affinity between Hebrew and the Spartan dialect of Greek.

Goropian babbling. Ethan, you chose to ignore those translations of Genesis 1:1 -- they have remarkably similar structure across all the languages that it was translated into. Are Hebrew, Greek, Latin, English, German, Russian, Finnish, Japanese, Chinese, and Tamil all closely related to each other? Ethan, hasn't it ever occurred to you that translation parallelism is a result of the translation process?

Ethan, compare Hebrew and Arabic some time. You will find MUCH closer resemblance, and you won't have to go through the Goropian contortions that you seem so willing to go through with Hebrew and Greek.

The only languages that are relevant are the languages spoken around the Mediterranean.

Christian theologians deny the very existence of Phoenicians because they can't find them in the Bible
and they isolate the Hebrew-Phoenician Language to the middle of a desert, Ancient Jews
where 'Merchants', it was there primary attribute and the Colony in Elephantine was a trading post
occupied by Phoenicians and Greeks, it's all commerce.

Merchandising is still the primary role of Jews today.

The Arabic word for Wine, is Khamr, from ἡμερίς "the cultivated vine" (Hom. Od. 5.50).

Alcohol is Arabic, characterized with it's AL- prefix.

Hebrew also prefix nouns with AL, compare גביש (Job 28:18) with אלגביש (Ezekiel 13:11)
the words describe a White stone, from גביש/γύψος (Gypsos) "Chalk'.

Alcohol is אל-כחל.

כחל only appears in Ezekiel 23:40 meaning 'face covering , color, darken'
so it's cognate is the word 'Color' from a root meaning to 'cover'
and אהל is another cognate, which is αὖλις ( Aulis) "Tent" in Greek (Hom. Il. 9.205 , Hom. Od. 22.465)

* Greek & Hebrew have the same word for Tent

Compare 'Tent' & 'Tint' ( to change color, dye, hue )

Greek & Hebrew word for Mountain is identical.

הר = Ορ
ה = ὁ

The root meaning is 'boundary' .

In Mycenaean Greek , it was written Ορϝ
ϝ > b > m

Ορϝ > Ορβ > Ορμ > Ερμ > Ἑρμῆς "God of Boundaries"

The major boundary marker in the Levant is Hermon (חרמון) and other boundaries bare this name, such as the Straits of Hormuz and Germany.

Herm/ἱέρωμα "anything dedicated "

Herma with the head of Herakles (Malqart) * מלךקרת (Malkarthus > Mercurius)

Herodotus 2:44
So I went on to Thasos, where I found a temple of Heracles which had been built by the Phoenicians who colonised that island when they sailed in search of Europa.

-Ιέρωμα "consecrated object"
-Ιερός "Holy, Sacred"
-Ἱεροσόλυμα " Jerusalem"
-ירו שלם = (Ορϝ Ἑρμ) "dedicated too Hermes"

This is evident in Judges 9:48 and Psalms 68:14

How is that supposed to be the case.

I wanted to use Schleicher's fable "The Sheep and the Horses" as a longer comparison text, but I couldn't find any Greek or Hebrew versions of it. So I'll have to use the Lord's Prayer from the Sermon on the Mount. All Languages : The Lord's Prayer : Our Father

English (NET Bible):
Our Father in heaven, may your name be honored,
May your kingdom come, May your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread,
And forgive us our debts, as we ourselves have forgiven our debtors.
And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

English (King James):
Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Dutch:
Onze Vader in de hemel, Laat Uw Naam geheiligd worden;
Geef ons vandaag ons dagelijks brood;
en vergeef ons onze schulden, zoals ook wij hen die bij ons in de schuld staan vergeven;

Icelandic:
Faðir vor, þú sem er á himnum. Helgist þitt nafn,
til komi þitt ríki, verði þinn vilji svo á jörðu sem á himni.
Gef oss í dag vort daglegt brauð
og fyrirgef oss vorar skuldir, svo sem vér og fyrirgefum vorum skuldunautum.
Eigi leið þú oss í freistni, heldur frelsa oss frá illu.

Gothic:
Atta unsar, þu in himinam, weihnai namo þein,
qimai þiudinassus þeins, wairþai wilja þeins, swe in himina jah ana airþai.
Hlaif unsarana þana sinteinan gif uns himma daga,
jah aflet uns þatei skulans sijaima, swaswe jah weis afletam þaim skulam unsaraim,
jah ni briggais uns in fraistubnjai, ak lausei uns af þamma ubilin.

Notice what these Germanic ones have in common.

More Lord's Prayer:

Latin:
Pater noster, qui es in caelis; sanctificetur nomen tuum;
adveniat regnum tuum; fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo et in terra.
Panem nostrum cotidianum da nobis hodie;
et dimitte nobis debita nostra, sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris;
et ne nos inducas in tentationem; sed libera nos a malo.

Spanish:
Padre nuestro, que estás en el cielo, santificado sea tu Nombre;
Danos hoy nuestro pan de cada día;
perdona nuestras ofensas, como también nosotros perdonamos a los que nos ofenden;

So if you have ever wondered where Latin went, here it is: several descendant languages.
