The Greeks knew the Levant as Phoenicia, the people were known as Phoenicians , but the problem is that the word doesn't seem to exist in the Hebrew vocabulary, the Jewish Bible deals with the Levant and tells of it's many names, so where is Phoenicia.
The problem is the word itself, Φοινίκη , the first letter of this word is Φ known
as PHI. All the letters of the Greek alphabet are derives from the Phoenician Alphabet and the letter PHI came from the letter QOPH קֵ, so this letter split into Q and P ( the reason they are next to each other) and they interchange,
thus Φοινίκη in Hebrew is קַיִן [Kenite], the word is related too קֵן [Ken] and קָנַן[Kenan] ' make a nest' and this is the origin of the Phoenix and a parable in the Jewish text.
Numbers 24:21
And he looked on the Kenites, and took up his parable, and said, Strong is thy dwellingplace, and thou puttest thy nest[KEN] in a rock.
The evidence for this, is Jobs 29:18 that reads 'I shall die in my nest' , however if you read the Septuagint, Nest[Ken]
is φοίνικος [Phoenix]
Jeremiah 22:23
O inhabitant of Lebanon, that makest thy nest [KEN]
QOPH branching into two letters, Q and P explains an oddity between Latin & Greek, for example the number Five , which is
Pente in Greek, but oddly named Quinque in Latin, another example is Horse, Ippos(Greek) but in Latin it is Equus . [סוּסָה]
