The name Jesus is a transliteration of Joshua, which apparently means ' Yahweh Saves ' יְהוֹשׁוּעַ , however if you look at the Hebrew , it does not , anyone who is able to read Hebrew can see that, If יְהֹוָה + יָשַׁע = יְהוֹשׁוּעַ then 1 + 1 = 3, However you can combine and produce the name Isaiah.
יְהוֹשׁוּעַ can be split into two word Ieu (יְהוֹ) + Suo (שׁוּעַ) and the suffix is found in another name, Beth-Shua in 1 Chronicles 3:5 which is a dialectic form of Beth-Sheba, the mother of King Solomon, which means יהושוע can be written יהושבע '( Ieu-Sbo ) (yeh sheh bah).
The word Sheba, first appears in the name Beersheba , Beer means Well, same as Gk φρέαρ (Phrear) and Sheba derives from the Gk σέβω
meaning Oath and thus Beersheba means 'Well of Oath' , In Greek φρέαρ-σέβω in Hebrew בְּאֵר שֶׁבַע with the same definition, the 'Well of Oath' is also found in Greek mythology, see Asbamaios and Fountain of youth.
The problem with Hebrew, every name that begins with יהו ( Ieu ) is automatically assumed to be Yahweh , but in actually it serves as a prefix article, cognate with Greek εὖ ( to be ) , transliterated in Hebrew as ' יהו and thus εὖσέβω ( Eusebus ) or which means 'Pious', this is also the etymology of Joseph / Josephus.
The name Εὐσεϐής was a popular title in the Levant and Cappadocia during the Hellenistic period , the time these names begin appearing.
