Of course, I've often wondered what philosophical connection (if any) K. had to Edelstein's old friends, Leo Strauss and Hannah Arendt. Strauss and Edelstein were intimate friends; Arendt and Edelstein both studied together under Karl Jaspers in Heidelberg (1926), yet I sadly find no information detailing their relationship (personal papers, burned).
