This prof got it all wrong. Erho was not trying to date them outside of the 200BCE-100CE range favored by many professedly Christian critics....
I clicked the link and read the comment before I read your critique of it, and I am not sure that narwhal, the Bible prof you quote, was suggesting that Erho was placing the Similitudes outside that date range; it reads to me like he may have been wondering what is at stake in dating the Similitudes with a level of precision beyond the relative wideness of the usually accepted date range.
