Now, the period of the Judges + king Saul precedes the anointed of YHWH, king David.
Paul is a midrash of Saul: just as Saul ends the period of the Judges, so Paul ends the period of the Law.
Hence, the Samaritans should hate Paul.
The first Gospel introduces a Jesus who is both son of Joseph and son of David. An attempt of introducing peace between Samaritans (=followers of the Messiah son of Joseph) and Jews (+ Paul: followers of the Messiah son of David) ?
The same cross, as two sticks one above the other, as symbol of alliance between two kingdoms, Judea and Samaria, Jews and Gentiles...
The Messiah ben Joseph has to die (= Samaria was destroyed by Assyrians) so that the Messiah ben David can survive (= the kingdom of Judah survived to Assyria).
Hence the Galilee is, not coincidentially, in the middle between North (Samaria) and South (Judah) to symbolize the new future peace between two Messiahs (= two different peoples).

was this argument made before, to explain the genesis of the so-called "enigmatic" tradition of the Messiah ben Joseph?
