Precisely. Note that Barabbas is demonized (as criminal, robber, prisoner, etc) insofar his only "sin" was to be called Jesus Son of Father, but NOT Christ (differently from his rival Jesus called Christ).
Well, this is what is written about Barabbas in gMark.

Mark 15:7
And there was one named Barabbas, which lay bound with them that had made insurrection with him, who had committed murder in the insurrection.

Regardless of the meaning of the name Barabbas it is claimed he committed murder.
