- In Acts, one time on three, all the soldiers going with Paul are overcomed (Acts 26:14), just as him, by the light of Christ.
In the exorcism of the Gerasene demoniac, the entire Legion of demons is defeated.
- Both Paul and the Gerasen, after the miracle, are invited to enter in the city/region.
This is different, even antithetical, from the invitation addressed to the blind of Bethsaida: don't enter again in the village. Possibly, because the blind of Bethsauda allegorizes the messianist Peter: the blind/Peter is unable to preach a pauline Christ, therefore he is invited to not preach. The Gerasene/Paul, at contrary, is invited by definition to preach the pauline Christ. That the blind is Peter is also alluded by his claim that the men are trees: a known claim of Simon Magus aka Simon Peter.
This means that Paul knew Jesus in the context of the First Jewish Revolt. He was made his prisoner and recognized him as the Christ, hence he was released.
