I've been reading about this Papyrus 20915
It is a Coptic translation of a Alexandrian Christian work probably earlier than Clement of Alexandria. It makes use of the Epistle of Barnabas which it refers to as the words of Barnabas or similar.
This is further evidence of the importance of Barnabas and the Epistle of Barnabas in early Alexandrian Christianity.

Why is it all the most interesting research is conducted in German? Probably the same reason Germany is leading in the coronavirus pandemic ...

Re: Papyrus 20915 and Barnabas
cool I thought as much
I might try and get them translated this is what's frustrating about this stuff...
this text is pre-clement I mean damn that's early, on a par with Justin, and it got new quotes from the preaching of peter among other things. its wild
but all you hear is crickets on what could be a key source for various theories. that's crazy and makes me doubt a lot of the theorising going on
damn right i'm gonna get this in English

Wow! the entire article describing this 'berlin codex' makes it sound fascinating. The fact that the paper is 20 years old though with no english translation having appeared doesn't give me much hope for it showing up any time soon.

yep thats what i thought!
its on my todo list to get the German and then well... i'd stump up the cash to pay for a german student to translate it, there's plenty around here i know one lady who could do it but she's constantly swearing, not sure i'd trust her to not put explitives in it that were not in the papyrus. but yes i'm up for giving it a go

The entire codex was published way back in 2004

Given its significance it seems to have received remarkably little attention.
