There is no evidence that Matthew wrote in Hebrew.

Not so: there's lots of the earliest fathers who say so, or in the "Hebrew Dialect" which may mean the Hebrew dialect of Aramaic viewtopic.php?p=161741#p161741

Otherwise how does one explain the misunderstanding of Psalms 110:1 in Matthew 22:44.
