Luke 22:12

And he shall shew you a large upper room furnished there make ready

Mark 14:15:

And he will shew you a large upper room furnished and prepared there make ready for us

What does it mean "furnished and read" ?

I read in some translations the equivalent of:

furnished with pillows

and even:

furnished with carpets

I raise the question because, since the Jewish Passover doesn't require that the people have to sit, then why is there need of pillows ?

Was it really a Passover ?
