Why the source Q had to be lost

Post by Giuseppe »

The divine being that the Gnostics believed hidden behind the Serpent of Genesis had to manifest itself as a human being so that he could be attributed with the revelations and saving instructions which his disciples (7 in number) transmitted as logia

Jesus said…

...and with the institution of the sacrament of the Eucharist as a substitute for the fruit of Paradise.

The Serpent, the Peratae said, appeared in human form during Herod's reign…

To make the Jews accept this saviour, he had to be identified with the messiah expected by them and promised to David.

The "fulfillment of OT scriptures" by midrash was a consequence of this will of messianization of Jesus.

But it became a goal in itself: once the Jewish Messiah was created, he had to be a Jewish thing. The revealer had to become a redeemer. The gift of the gnosis had to be replaced by the gift of a sacrifice expiatory.

The source Q was lost because the Revealer Jesus had to be lost.

To make room to the Redeemer Jesus.
