Paul saw the crucifixion of Jesus and now he is in heaven

Post by Giuseppe »

Paul seems to think that he was crucified with Christ, therefore he saw directly the crucifixion:

I have been crucified with Christ

and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.
The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God

(Galatians 2:20)

The evidence of this his real crucifixion with Christ is that the his life itself "in the flesh" now is already the life of the Risen Christ. Therefore Paul is already in heaven when he writes Galatians. Or better, he is preaching to Galatians as the Risen Christ. Only in appearance of flesh.

He is therefore, in Gospel terms, the Good Thief while the Evil Thief is Peter. He is already in paradise.

This may be a justification by the author of the epistle for him writing in the name of Paul.

Paul being dead when and where Jesus died: on the cross in the lower heavens.
Nihil enim in speciem fallacius est quam prava religio. -Liv. xxxix. 16.
