Why need of Judas?

Post by Giuseppe »

1) If what moved Jesus to derive against him the attention of the his enemies was the giving of the Gnosis (knowledge of God),

2) and if this Gnosis given by him was - for both Paul and "Mark" - the his same appearance as a man

...so revealing that the his Father was just the god who made the man “in the his own image”...

...then it may be explained why the Judah's kiss served to capture Jesus. If Judah could kiss Jesus, then Jesus was a man. So the rejection/betrayal of Jesus coincided with the moment of maximum recognition of the his human nature.

Never as in that moment Jesus appeared as a man.

So only that recognition could be the true cause of the his death by the “rulers”. Not the disturbance in the temple. Not the rivarly with the pharisees. Not other reasons.

From this, in virtue of the “paulinism” of “Mark”, we may infer what for Paul, before the euhemerization of Jesus, was the true cause that moved the demons to kill Jesus: the his unexpected apparition as a mere man (one already adult) in the archontic territory.

Hence no need by Paul to specify that point. The point was already implicit in the recital of the Hymn to Philippians. What Jesus had to give to men was the Gnosis, i.e. the recognition that Jesus was the image of the creator god insofar he appeared "in the form of man".
