Pope John VIII Letters and His Response to Photius
This may be outside the patristics era, but has anyone studied this subject? I see accusations all around, but no real proof of forgery. We have both Greek and Latin manuscripts to the council of constantinople of 879-880 which as far as I know agree entirely on content and contain letters from Pope John VIII. Do we have any additional manuscript traditions of these letters or of any letters after the council? Thanks

Ask Roger Pearse. He's good at fleshing these things out - even if it's only for the source material.
