The reader will excuse me if I am writing rapidly this thread and can't describe perfectly anything read in this article. But it is very interesting.
According to Roy D. Kotansky, the Gerasene episode is based on a similar legend of Heracles who signed the his famous Pillars in the Strict of Gibraltar, near Cádiz, of which the old Phoenician name is Gadeira (Gadara?), called ''the land of flocks and herds''. This fits with the Paul's intention of going to Spain.
In particular, Diodorus of Sicily refers about the presence of people living among the tombs in Ibiza.
A reference is made to the Gerion Myth (where a fugue also occurs).
