"These places belong" to Paul and Marcion, not to James and John

Post by Giuseppe »

Mark 10:40:

but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared.

Alii enim aiunt hoc quod scriptum est, sedere a dextris Salvatoris et sinistris, de Paulo et de Marcione dici, quod Paulus sedet a dextris, Marcio sedeat a sinistris.

Interesting that some would think that way when Paul and Marcion weren't even born until after Jesus was long dead and gone.
