I was told by some lady I forget who (I could check my notes) who worked at Brown that she used to bring non-kosher food to his house and Neusner said I always eat kosher except for your "something or other (I forget off the top of my head)." She said they didn't have a TV. My assistant wouldn't allow me to write two scenes I was thinking of having. Smith visiting a gay bar in Manhattan and his relationship with Lotte Gaster and Theodor Gaster's relationship with a male student. I don't know why my assistant is so prudish.

I think it was Horst whatever his name's wife posting.php?mode=quote&f=6&p=727

This is not the quote that I remember, which was by a professor.

But Jacob Neusner's son, Noam, could be considered an expert witness:

"And then there is his father's television habit. "He watches a lot of junk TV," Noam says. "He's seen every episode of Murder, She Wrote at least four times.""

Keep correcting me. Murder She Wrote really caught on I believe was after he left Brown. Started 1984 says Google. Left Brown 1989. I don't know. Both statements could be true. It's just an exercise.

Although this sounds like someone who opposed television watching at least at one time http://webs.anokaramsey.edu/stankey/Wri ... usner2.htm

Neusner watched lots of, and repeated, TV according to his son (and according to the prof. who knew him).

The prof who mentioned Neusner I knew--Neusner himself at conferences was hard to miss--was imo a reliable source, the point being: excess publications, without even long work days.

If his own son (besides me) is not believed, what is the point of writing here?

So his son said they always had a TV? Why would this lady make up this detail? I am more than happy giving up the TV reference. I didn't always eat Shake Shack burgers. Now it's weekly consumption. But there was a time it was zero.

Asking the real questions here: (a) really? and (b) are you doing anything with this script?
