Singing songs, clapping hands, praising acts of giving and community work – all the things present in a Church have now found an official home in a service without demons and without eternal unchangeable laws .

Re: atheist sunday service
Why would atheists spend their Sundays apeing Christianity?
I'd sleep in.

I know its like gay men wanting to imitate straight guys and get married so they can stop having sex, raise kids and go to PTA meetings. At least we know that's never going to happen.

Re: atheist sunday service
There aren't that many highly visible opportunities - especially for someone who might otherwise be "socially undesirable" (old, fat, disabled, etc.) - to have a regular and supportive social gathering weekly, outside of the institutions that have aped the Jewish, Christian, and other religious traditions. To some extent, of course, this is just a supply problem... if an entrepeneur figured out how to overcome this and provide a better value than the current batch of offerings, all types of Sunday attendance may dwindle. (To some extent, the Internet has been doing this, but it doesn't meet everyone's needs.) The two entrepreneurs above have realized that they can offer this service to a market that doesn't want the "God" stuff.

Pippa has a bad fashion sense. Bad sweater. It's a bad sign when the guy dresses better than the woman.

Re: atheist sunday service
Lots of atheists still belong to churches and quite candidly say it is because they enjoy the social setting.
The religion of the priests is not the religion of the people.
Priests are just people with skin in the game and an income to lose.
