Johnny B is not entirely absent in Marcion's as his disciples appear ex nihilo and confront Jesus at some point.

So even if earlier than any received synoptic, Marcion's reacts to at least some pre-canonical gospel of the synoptic persuasion.

The allusion to Eliah as well as the vinegar stuff are late additions, unknown to Luke, who prefers a reference to Psalm 31:6. Paul is a Marcionite invention, and thus he rails necessarily against the law and the Jewish god.

Only the Catholic interpolators and redactors tried to force Paul to worship the Jewish god, but they had to struggle with editorial fatigue in some places.
