Re: Let's Have a Discussion About What is Authentic About Early Christianity OUTSIDE OF MARCION?
Was daily Temple animal sacrifice intended to cover merely lesser, such as (for example) inadvertent sin, or all sin at all levels, no matter how grievous? If the latter, then why have prisons, or tortures on up to capital punishment? Why not simply sacrifice an animal or two (etc...) and call it a ...

Re: Reconstructions of Marcion's Antitheses?
It seems that at least a couple of the above are not actually Antithesis. Rather they are adding additions that go beyond the original but seem to still be in support the original. I can't fully accept that these are Marcion's Antithesis.

Sunday service instead of Saturday?
When and why did the Christian churches move services from Saturday to Sunday? Can this move be attributed to any individual?

What Do People Imagine Marcionism Looked Like If You Visited Their Synagogues?
I can only imagine it to be about as utterly boring and depressing and repetitive as any modern Christian church service.

Re: The Demiurge or Evil Creator God in the Evangelion
Perhaps Satan and the Demiurge (Creator) are to be considered as 'one' in the very same sense as for which: "I (Jesus) and the Father are one." A sense which infers a father and (unique) son relationship in both cases. Per April D. DeConick a quite literal reading of the Koine/Greek 'Gospe...

Re: The Ultimate Question With Patristic Commentary on the Marcionite Canon
Was Marcion's Evangelion violently suppressed and quite intentionally eradicated? If so, by Tertullian's time it may no longer have been available.

Re: "the God and Christ" instead of "the Son of God" in Marcion's text of Gal 2:20
Mark 8:34 (to me) seems not related to Galatians 2:19 at all. It wouldn't surprise me if the actual verse 8:34 could be traced back to it's living and breathing source it was likely spoken more along lines like this: If anyone would come after me, let him denounce the occupation and take up his swor...

Re: Stephan Huller's 'horrible' book
When I read Stephan's book a number of years ago I thought it was rather decently presented. It held my interest and educated me. I've never understood why Stephan has considered it an embarrassment for so many years now.

Re: the "LXX as Christian-created" hypothesis, and Philo
The original LXX was comprised of only the Torah (Pentateuch). Any LXX which contains the books of the major Profits, minor Profits, the Apocrypha, etc... is fake. And any such LXX is likely intended to conform with corruptions found necessary to comply with the NT message.
