Re: Zeitgeist Part 1
Noted. Pearse, Huller and Outhouse use the statement that Murdock's Zeitgeist Sourcebook cites scholars to falsely claim that Murdock has implied these scholars endorse Zeitgeist. This is a very basic twisting of facts by Pearse, Huller and Outhouse. Pearse says it is "so dishonest" to im...

Re: The Mythicist Position
What is the onus on mythicist proponents to get their views heard, in your opinion? First, the discrimination will need to be dealt with as it has already been made clear that mythicism is not being allowed in for discussion as already explained by Earl Doherty and others. Mythicists have already w...

Re: The Mythicist Position
GakuseiDon, it looks like you've misunderstood. What I clearly said was: "I'm not aware of any courses ever teaching mythicism, are you? Academia has consistently blocked it." So, I've already said that I'm unaware of courses teaching mythicism. The "it" was about mythicism in g...

Re: Acharya S and the real Christ Conspiracy
I've got a question for the Acharya-fans in here: Acharya claims that there was an "ancient global civilization". Is she thinking of stone age people having a "global civilization"? From memory, she suspects there may have been at least two ancient global civilizations, but I ca...

Re: Pagan Parallels: Achilles Heel of Christianity
Hebrew to English gives "Lazarus". Hebrew to (modern) Greek gives "Λάζαρος". Not sure what that shows?

Re: Pagan Parallels: Achilles Heel of Christianity
So, is "Lazarus" the same name as "Eleazar"? According to Wiki, the name Lazarus is "Latinised from the Hebrew: אלעזר, Elʿāzār, Eleazar—'God is my help'". If so, there were other figures called "Eleazar" in the OT, but they don't appear to be the representatio...

Re: Zeitgeist Part 1
Of course Eric von Daniken did it first and did it better. I have an idea that Eric probably believed his own tosh, tho. Daniken is but one in a long line of similar authors, and defintely not the first. Going back, there has been Velikovsky, William Reich, Madame Blavatsky, Col James Churchward. I...

Re: Pagan Parallels: Achilles Heel of Christianity
This is Gerald Massey, which I think is the source of Acharya S's comments on Lazarus == El Azar. "Ancient Egypt - The Light of the World" As to the name, the Egyptian name of the Greek Osiris is Hesar, or Asar. And when we take into consideration that some of the matter came from its Egyp...

Re: Pagan Parallels: Achilles Heel of Christianity
Acharya S (writing under her real name D.Murdock) writes in "Christ in Egypt" : The correspondences continue, with Lazarus and Osiris even sharing the same name, as explained in my book “Who Was Jesus: Fingerprints of the Christ”: “The Greek name “Lazaros” equals “Eleazar” in Hebrew and, p...
