Re: 1 Cor 15:3-11 once again

Romans 15.4 is not suspect except insofar as all of chapters 15 and 16 appear to have been missing from the Marcionite version, and the textual history of the last two chapters of Romans is pretty tangled. However, the plural in 15.4 is completely understandable in context: "For as many things...

Re: 1 Cor 15:3-11 once again

You are almost there, Kunigunde! :) If you add the analysis of "scriptures", you will find that only verses that are suspect in Paul's corpus have the plural 'grafai' for reference to the books of the Jewish Scripture. Paul probably conflated own written revelations and interpretations in...

Re: Is Mark a valentinian Gospel?

Some possible connections: Genesis 22.2: And He said, "Take now your son, the beloved one [τὸν ἀγαπητόν], whom you love, Isaac, and go to the land of Moriah; and offer him there as a burnt offering on one of the mountains of which I will tell you." Judges (Alexandrinus recension) 11.34: κ...

Re: 1 Cor 15:3-11 once again

. A little analysis of 1 Cor 15:4 - Pauline word usage or not? The numbers of occurrences are taken from katabiblon (they are not completely correct, because some textual variants are counted) 1 Cor 15:4 καὶ ὅτι ἐτάφη καὶ ὅτι ἐγήγερται τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ τρίτῃ κατὰ τὰς γραφὰς and that (he was) buried and t...

Marcion, I think, must belong to the manifestat...
