Jesus is not God to you. Good.

Are you still condemned then if Jesus is not the messiah?

Re: Tree of the Knowledge of Good & Evil; Free Will

The concept of the knowledge of good and evil is the concept of absolute morality; that is to say that there are certain things that are absolutely moral, and others that are absolutely immoral. This is only one side of it. The other side is that every person is aware of all these moral and immoral...

Re: Who ruled heaven on this day. God or Satan?

I think that if you are capable to accept the sacrifice of Jesus as propitiation for your sins (so sin would be what needs blood, not God), that wouldn't be inmoral, as mercy rules over judgment. I see the deal like this: Jesus represents the tree of life, so its branches gives a lot of fruit. Sata...

Re: Do you think that torturing a baby is ever justified?

I think most of us do wrong on trying to justify God's actions, as in Job's book. What we are commanded to do under Jesus is to love your neighbor as yourself, so you shouldnt do anything that looks griveous for others. What makes us right towards God is first at all Jesus sacrifice, and second a g...

Re: Can you confirm the Jewish view of our elevation in Eden

Ezekiel 18:2-4 “What do you mean when you use this proverb concerning the land of Israel, saying: ‘The fathers have eaten sour grapes, And the children’s teeth are set on edge’? “As I live,” says the Lord God, “you shall no longer use this proverb in Israel. “Behold, all souls are Mine; The soul of...

Who ruled heaven on this day. God or Satan?

Who ruled heaven on this day. God or Satan? This quote speaks of God choosing Jesus as a human sacrifice to take our just punishment for our sins. Dogma says that we cannot redeem ourselves from God condemnation. 1Peter 1:20 0 He was chosen before the creation of the world, but was revealed in these...

Re: Gnosticism in modern church

As I am reading The Jesus Mysteries (Freke & Gandy) I am surprised by their explanations of the Gnostic views on New Testament texts. I was a Christian for 30 years and am well aquainted with teaching of many denominations. It seems to me that today we still see the same Literalist and Gnostic ...

Re: Do you think that torturing a baby is ever justified?

There can be no justification for any of us to torture babies, but we cannot question what He does - 'God … made Jesus perfect by suffering' Hebrews 2:10 CEV Only those with their heads very far up God's ass will not question or test what he does. I prefer to follow scriptures on this one. 1 Thessa...

Good enough.

Way too many Christians say yes.

Do you think that torturing a baby is ever justified?

Do you think that torturing a baby is ever justified? Have you seen this rather well done movie? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dx7irFN2gdI They end asking about a God who tortures babies as God did to King David’s baby. God also killed many innocent babies in his great flood as well as the innocen...
