Re: Magdalena Karta. Was Mark's Mary Magdalene Mark's Jesus' Mother?

Iss was the wife of Osiris and mother of Horus, who was Osiris reborn. The many Marys and Marthas, I think, serves to illustrate the contrived nature of these texts. Isn't Salome also present in the Protoevangelium of James at the birth? I can't remember. If she is, then that answers why she is pres...

Theory: The original evangelium was an imperial decree

An idea that I've been going back and forth on for a while, and one that I've mentioned once or twice on here, is that the original Gospel, evangelium, could not have been a biography, acta, or romance about anyone named Jesus, historical or otherwise, and must have been an imperial declaration. The...

Re: Another mythicist Scholar: Nanine Charbonnel

It's clear to anyone with a brain that Pilate is a Johannine stand in for Paul. He does not do what the Jews tell him to do. In Marcion's system, the Christ has to die. He's doing what the Father wants. Even the use of Pontius connects him to the man of Pontus, Marcion. Anyone, that is, except Giuse...

Re: Another mythicist Scholar: Nanine Charbonnel

pâlaṭ, paw-lat'; a primitive root; to slip out, i.e. escape; causatively, to deliver:—calve, carry away safe, deliver, (cause to) escape. underline added You know, like how the spirit of Christ escapes death at the transmigration, by substituting Simon of Cyrene. Giuseppe, you're an idiot. Pure and ...

Re: Why the Romans can never have killed Jesus

Not only is Pilate "innocent" of killing Christ (washing his hands), but Pilate is a proxy for Paul, the last to receive Christ and to find no fault in him. Yet it's the Jews who demand Jesus's death, which fits a YHWH = demiurge agenda. And it's possible that when Paul speaks of archons o...

Why the Romans can never have killed Jesus

Even presuming for a minute that the original Gospel was Marcionite: it's clear that the Marcionites were either indifferent to the Empire, or actively supported it (which is my position), but either way, they would not have them be responsible for handling over Jesus for death, as 1) this would pla...

Re: Bar Kochba and the Evil Tenants

The following parallels seem relevant: Isaiah 18.4-6: 4 For thus the Lord has told me, “I will look from My dwelling place quietly like dazzling heat in the sunshine, like a cloud of dew in the heat of harvest.” 5 For before the harvest, as soon as the bud blossoms and the flower becomes a ripening...

Re: Bar Kochba and the Evil Tenants

I will add the likelihood of the scene of Christ in Gethsemane may also refer to bar Kochba. Blood and wine is used interchangeably in the Jesus narrative. (The Eucharist for example).

Re: Bar Kochba and the Evil Tenants

That is a very interesting correspondence. Thanks for that. Thank Xoroaster. His research still influences me, even though I fundamentally disagree with key components of it. This correspondence, however, is much less satisfying. The parable of the tenants has closer parallels and precedents elsewh...
