Re: Potamius of Lisbon references the heavenly witnesses in writing to Athana
Hi Andrew, For analysis, lets allow the theory that the Bible texts in 360 AD only had the earthly witnesses. What if we turn this around and ask you for ACTUAL EVIDENCE that this passage existed IN GREEK (the original language) in 360 AD? THAT is how historical inquiry occurs. Not by pretending a ...

Re: Potamius of Lisbon references the heavenly witnesses in writing to Athanasius
I will respond to Mr. Avery Spencer's assertions by citing him in bold and replying. Potamius of Lisbon, in the mid-4th century, involved in the Arian controversies, repeatedly referenced the heavenly witnesses verse. An assertion that will be interesting to see the evidence if any exists. Potamius ...

Re: Coloring the Truth: Sinaiticus
Actually, you are the only "Christian:" poster I run into that is frequently vulgar. "professional palaeographers that have studied Sinaiticus". You're the one who - for reasons known only to you - has decided to make your mark in the world insulting people and being a hypocrite...

Re: Why Paul is missing in the Gospels
Which was done by me (although you tried to move the goalposts :) ) but you abandoned your claim. You deviate by placing the gospel composition before the letters. Even traditionalist accept the destruction of the temple references place the gospels after 66 CE. There is a long list of New Testamen...

Re: the Latin exception destroys the attempted analogy of Mark ending and heavenly witnesses
Heavenly Witnesses "Latin exception" Quite an exception. Which we can estimate at way over 500 manuscripts.likely closer to 1,000, Total number of mss. without the Mark ending,in Greek-Latin and Syriac combined - 3 Add a few in Armenian, perhaps Georgian. Not much of an analogy. The analo...

Re: heavenly witnesses discussion
However, afaik, Joshua will have nothing to do with vulgarity. And I think Joshua would in fact like to arrange a discussion where James Snapp was the one taking the contra-authenticity position. You're such a whiny little baby. Run all over the Net trashing people and then get kicked back hard and...

Re: professional palaeographers who have studied Sinaiticus
Hi Joe, One point at a time. :) JW : All professional Paleographers that have studied it have concluded that Sinaiticus is early. First, can you name the professional palaeographers that have studied Sinaiticus, and were actually handling the manuscript, especially those who were looking at both se...

Re: Why Paul is missing in the Gospels
You want a whole essay simply because you are ignorant on the topic and make bogus claims? YOU are the one who made the claim about so many people. Now that you're caught between a rock and your big mouth, you want to point fingers. Why not just give us a list of, say, FIFTY scholars who say the en...

Re: Why Paul is missing in the Gospels
There is a long list of New Testament scholars, many traditionalists, some not, who place the Gospels in the 40-60AD range. Perhaps you could list them and their reasons for doing so. Yet even today, many hold to early NT dating. And have the Gospels ahead of Acts and the Epistles and Revelation. P...
