Origen knew. Marcion's gospel began with Mark 1:1 and he was aware of the Marcionite claim that this gospel was the one Paul meant by "my gospel."

Come on. We both know. Whenever Paul's "my gospel" is mentioned half the time Mark 1:1 follows.

The one thing we can be sure. The one thing. Marcion thought Paul wrote a gospel which began with Mark 1:1. Other than that, it's all up for grabs.

Why did someone have to invent the Pastorals where Paul is this rule maker if the historical Paul was already this rule maker? Maybe he was looking for answers as much as everyone else.
