Re: On the Marcionite hate against the Jewish God
..................................................... It should be noted that one of Vinzent's most influential papers is Marcion the Jew https://www.academia.edu/7547506/Marcion_the_Jew. The fact that Marcion's Jewishness hasn't made a dent in your understanding of Marcionism speaks more for the s...

(Psa 72:10 NIV) If they both are same .. why? very thanks. seba was probably in Africa maybe in modern Ethiopia o...

Re: Pseudo-Hegesippus and the TF
Andrew Criddle wrote: The Chronicle became available in Latin translation (c 379) a number of years earlier than the translation of the Ecclesiastical History. However, if Pseudo-Hegesippus wrote c 370 neither would have been available in Latin so this may not be relevant. The argument you're makin...

Alexandria in the Babylonian Talmud sometimes seems to mean Egypt in general.

Yes, both the point about Pilate bringing the images into the temple and the point about this incident being the first cause of the rebellion and turmoil of the Jews could have come from Eusebius' Chronicon. So I understand why one might think Pseudo-Hegesippus' knowledge of Eusebiu...

Re: My thoughts on 1 Corinthians 11.23-28 (for Kunigunde).
Hi Ben Do you regard the parallel in Luke 22 as original to Luke or also probably an interpolation ? Andrew Criddle I think Luke 22.19b-20 is most likely an interpolation, if that is what you mean by the parallel in Luke 22. That is what I meant. I should have been clearer sorry. Andrew Criddle
