Re: A Jumble in Corinth and Paul’s Human Foibles
to robert j You have this passage as part of the correspondence written in early 56 CE, “Did I take advantage of you by anyone I sent you? I urged Titus and I sent the brother with him. Titus did not take advantage of you.” 2 Corinthians 12:17-18 But the problem is, according to your timeline, Paul ...

Re: A Jumble in Corinth and Paul’s Human Foibles
Here is my take on the Corinthians letters: At least 7 were written by Paul. Explanation below: Note: it is fully explained, better presented, more readable, with working links, color and bolding, on this webpage http://historical-jesus.info/appp.html h) Spring 50 to spring 52: Paul's second journey...

Re: Adam wasn't buried in the third heaven.
It was the soul that was taken to the third heaven. However the translation of your choosing has: 37.4 And he stayed there three hours, lying down, and thereafter the Father of all , sitting on his holy throne stretched out his hand, and took Adam and handed him over to the archangel Michael saying...

Re: Adam wasn't buried in the third heaven.
Interesting & challenging! "and when his soul goes forth you will see its awesome ascent." So, the soul of Adam goes up after death. Later, 33:2 - 37:6 Are all a vision Eve & Seth see in the sky, and so Adam's soul really does go to the third heaven. Eve sees the chariot first in t...

Re: Original Form of the Ascension of Isaiah
Here is my conclusion of my blog post: http://historical-jesus.sosblogs.com/Historical-Jesus-Blo-b1/100-Another-look-at-the-Ascension-of-Isaiah-the-gospel-of-Dr-Carrier-in-OHJ-b1-p105.htm It seems to me the original Greek text was entirely Jewish and then slightly interpolated (9:14,16) by a Christi...

Re: Dating of Daniel
I do not know why that would get against my views: d) It has been argued that the Aramaic and Hebrew of 'Daniel' are close to the ones written in the 6th/5th century B.C.E. But a later author would use ancient forms of these two languages in order not to betray a late composition! Furthermore K.A. K...

Re: Dating of Daniel
And I explained that on my website: http://historical-jesus.info/daniel.htmlWhile the ideas Bernard Muller and John Collins seem reasonable, I'm not sure what they are specifically based on.

Re: Dating of Daniel
hello there, This is what Collins wrote about the dating of Daniel: John J. Collins Daniel (Minneapolis: Fortress Press, 1993) p. 38. "The Hebrew–Aramaic text of Daniel evolved through several stages: 1. The individual tales of Chaps. 2–6 were originally separate ... 2. There was probably an in...
